An international collection edited by Avra Sidiropoulou
Staging 21st century Tragedies. Theatre, Politics and Global Crisis examines ways in which the global tragedies of our century are being negotiated in current theatre practice. This new international collection consists of essays by leading academics, artists, writers and curators, making a case for a “theatre of crisis” as a recent practice of politically engaged art that could arguably stand as our century’s equivalent to the genre of classical tragedy.
